Bristol City vs Leicester, 12.30pm – Live on Sky Sports Football

Simeon Gholam and David Prutton look ahead to Good Friday on the Sky Sports Championship Predictions podcast, with Leeds, Leicester and Ipswich all in live action

Bristol City are trundling along and unlikely at this point to really impact either end of the table. So let’s talk about Leicester City. How have they found themselves second in the table?

They are still somewhat in pole position and favourite to get promoted, but it really ought not to be this close. The nerves will be kicking in while Ipswich and Leeds will be full of confidence. They need to kick off Good Friday with a win, and I think they just about should.

Prediction: 1-2 (Sky Bet odds)

Blackburn vs Ipswich, 5.30pm – Live on Sky Sports Football

Blackburn can’t buy a win, even with John Eustace in charge, and they are sailing far closer to the bottom three than they would look. It is so close down there, but they head into Good Friday just three points off the relegation zone. And so much can change so quickly this weekend.

Ipswich bounced back superbly to trounce Sheffield Wednesday before the international break, firmly putting to bed any fears that they would wilt after that late shock at Cardiff. I can’t see how they don’t win at Ewood Park if I’m honest.

Prediction: 0-2 (Sky Bet odds)

Watford vs Leeds, 8pm – Live on Sky Sports Football

Tom Cleverley enjoyed a decent start in charge of Watford, winning his first game as interim boss. But Leeds are a very different proposition to Birmingham City.

Daniel Farke’s side went top of the Championship before the international break, a feat that seemed unthinkable not too long ago, but they have been utterly relentless. They’ll have to sit and watch the rest of the action unfold on Good Friday before heading out at Vicarage Road, but they are too good right now not to get the job done.

Prediction: 1-2 (Sky Bet odds)

Huddersfield vs Coventry, 3pm

It was a bright start for Andre Breitenreiter at Huddersfield, but they haven’t really been able to build any momentum since, and head into Good Friday the wrong side of the dotted line.

Coventry have an FA Cup semi-final on the horizon! But there is work to be done in the league. They are still well in the play-off race and should be even closer to that top six with a win at the John Smith’s.

Prediction: 0-2 (Sky Bet odds)

QPR vs Birmingham, 3pm

QPR have had a tough little run of fixtures and they haven’t quite been able to pull away from that bottom three as they would have liked. And this is a massive game at Loftus Road as 20th take on 21st.

Birmingham have acted in bringing in Gary Rowett, which was a necessary move until the end of the season considering their recent run. That should elicit some sort of response, and I’ll back them to get a draw here.

Prediction: 2-2 (Sky Bet odds)

Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea, 3pm

Sheffield Wednesday have lost their last two, but some perspective is needed in that they were probably against the two best teams in the league right now. Having said that, the 6-0 reverse at Ipswich will have left a mark that Danny Rohl will hopefully have washed away during the break.

Swansea were brilliant in beating Cardiff, which is obviously a massive game for them. Can they take some momentum from there? I think it’ll be a point here as the Owls just need it that bit more than the Swans.

Prediction: 1-1 (Sky Bet odds)
